José Antonio Montaño returns to the Stresa Festival in Italy to conduct the Milan Symphony Orchestra where he will share billing with artists such as Gianandrea Noseda, András Schiff and Javier Perianes.
Maestro Montaño made his debut in 2019 at the prestigious Stresa Festival in Italy conducting the acclaimed world premiere of La chute de la Maison Usher of José M. Sánchez-Verdú. Now he will be conducting a program entitled Double face per Carmen, with original music by Timothy Brock, for the silent films Carmen (1915) of Cecil B. DeMille and A Burlesque on Carmen (1915) by Charles Chaplin.
This return to Italy places maestro Montaño once again at the helm of the Milan Symphony Orchestra. Asked back for his fifth consecutive year, the maestro is one of the conductors most sought after by this Italian organization. The event will take place on August 31, 2020 in the Convention Centre in Stresa.
