José Antonio Montaño joins the Complutense Research Group Early Music.
Since 2020, Montaño has been a member of the Didone Project at the Instituto Complutense de Ciencias Musicales (ICCMU) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an initiative devoted to the study and recovery of more than 3,000 arias from eighteenth-century opera seria with librettos by Metastasio, composed by dozens of distinguished authors.
His incorporation into the Complutense Research Group Early Music opens new avenues of work around this repertoire, to which the conductor and researcher has devoted a very significant part of his artistic and musicological activity in recent years.
